Join us at GAOS HQ on Saturday 4th of October for a special watch party to support our very own GAOS member Kimon as he competes in the final of The Voice Kids France! Kimon has been a wonderful part of our GAOS youth shows for the past three years - let's come together to cheer him on and celebrate this exciting moment! Those who wish to join are invited to gather in HQ from 19h30, and encouraged to bring snacks or a potluck dish to share.

The last flag was waved and the last curtain closed on an excellent run of Les Misérables - School Edition. Massive congratulations to the production team, cast and crew for a fantastic show. At around 92%, this was the best-sold youth show since 2012, and audience feedback has been phenomenal.

Huge thanks as well to all the volunteers who helped make the show (and theatre move-out!) go off so smoothly. You all have set the bar way higher than the barricade!

There's still time to sign up to join the Choral Group in their carol rehearsals. Beginning on Monday 22nd September, we will be working on an international programme which will have something for everyone.

We welcome all voices, but are particularly short of tenors at the moment. Contact Susana Álvarez if you'd like to know more.

We are pleased to welcome Chris Cartwright to the Committee. He will replace Frou-Frou, our current Publicity Manager, who will be stepping down at the AGM (Sunday 2nd of November). To facilitate the transition, Chris has already been co-opted to the team.

Until the AGM, Frou-Frou will act as Secretary, as a temporary measure while Bindu is unavailable.

We need two volunteers to drive trucks from the theatre back to HQ during the move-out on Sunday 31st August. We estimate each truck will need to make two trips.

We have to pick up the keys before Europcar Vernier closes Saturday 30th August at 18h. Each driver must go in person and present their drivers licence. When you pick up the truck on Sunday you can leave your car at Europcar. Please contact Jo if you can help.

Summer holidays are over, and it's time to think further ahead in the year - to Christmas! This year our conductor Chelsea has opted for an international Christmas carol evening, as countries around the world are striving for peace and understanding. The programme will be fun and include some challenges, and you'll be surprised that you know some of them already!

Please say that you'll join us, we'd love to see you. Sign up with Susana Álvarez as soon as possible, latest by 15th September, so we know how much music to order.

Rehearsals will start on Monday 22nd September at GAOS HQ, at our usual time of 19h-20h30. The concert will take place on Wednesday 17th December at the Collège de Staël in Geneva. There will be a small fee to cover the cost of music, including copyright.

Any questions, just ask! We look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you on Monday 22nd September!

The Choral Group is looking for a piano accompanist to replace (or fill in for) our long-time loyal accompanist Joan Cambitsis, who would love to retire! Rehearsals for our next concert begin on Monday 22nd September, and Joan will be away until mid-October, so we really need someone to play at least for those rehearsals. Please get in touch with Joan if interested.

Are you a theatre kid at heart, still trying to "dance through" adult life? Join a team of musical lovers for an original comedy about a group of people who just can't stop breaking into song.

Your Directors Stephanie Bongioanni and Aurélie Laporte have created a short play interwoven with about 20 songs, each from a different musical.

Audition information is available here. Deadline is Wednesday 10th of September at 23h. Performances are in March 2026.
