It’s 1965 in Oldham and Harry Wade is a local celebrity, holding sway among the loyal patrons of his pub by virtue of his status as the second most famous hangman in England. Harry is certainly the center of attention on the day hanging is abolished; attention from his sycophantic clientele, from an eager reporter, and from a mysterious stranger whose intentions are far from clear.
About the Show: Hangmen is a dark incisive comedy. Lauded as one of Martin McDonagh’s most hilarious outings, Hangmen won the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2016 and earned five Tony Award nominations for its Broadway run. This play contains strong language and offensive themes that may not be suitable for all audiences.
Opening night patrons are invited to share a glass of bubbly with the cast and crew after the show!
