We have received two casting calls for children actors:
1) Swiss Film Casting
For the feature film High End by Antonia Campbell-Hugues, produced by Rita Production and Sleeper Films. Filming will take place in Geneva in March and April 2026. We are looking to cast the roles of:
- Lizzie, a girl aged 7-13, who is small, confident and outgoing, but physically a little bit quirky; and
- Matthew, aged between 5 and 7, Lizzie's little brother.
Both children must speak fluent British English without an accent and must also speak French (with accent is fine) as they will be portraying the roles of the children of a British expat couple, living in Geneva.
Casting is open only to people who are Swiss residents for tax purposes.
If cast, the children will need to travel to Ireland for two days sometime between the 27th March and the 10th April.
If your children wish to apply/audition, please submit the following:
- Your children's ages
- A picture
- Your current city
- Their sizes
- Any experience in cinema or theatre (not necessarily required)
Please send applications to thorens.casting@gmail.com. Applications must be received by 14th February.
2) Casting call - Lead supporting role
For the independent feature film Pigs in a Blanket, Swiss director Michèle Flury and writer Martha Benedict are casting the role of Iris.
Gender: Female Playing age: 10-12
Ethnicity: White Accent: RP or Southern English
Experience: Experience preferred (not required)
Short synopsis: Conny (28) travels to the South of France on a research trip for her PhD. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Iris (10), a child who mysteriously appears and seems to belong to no one. Iris opens Conny's eyes to a completely new world and to herself. Pigs in a Blanket is a story about healing the inner child, connection, and self-love, with a touch of magical realism.
Iris is a bright, curious, and emotionally intuitive child who appears unexpectedly in Conny's life. She is playful, honest, and unafraid to ask direct questions. Iris longs for connection and attention, but when she feels criticized or ignored, she withdraws or disappears - the only way she knows how to express her feelings. She is funny, imaginative, and sensitive, but she can't yet understand why things feel so difficult at times.
