The Committee is pleased to announce that the GAOS show for Christmas 2025 will be Elf the Musical, directed by Sarah Irwin and Mhairi Mac Donald, with Lorna Donkin as musical director.
This is a message from the directors: After four fun-filled years of pantomimes, GAOS is mixing things up with Elf the Musical, the hilarious and heart-warming musical based on the famous holiday film Elf starring Will Ferrell! The story follows Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole, who travels to New York City to find his real father and discover where he truly belongs. Along the way, he spreads joy, laughter, and plenty of holiday magic.
Perfect for all ages and backgrounds, this show will have you smiling, singing, and laughing out loud. Whether you're new to the story or know it by heart, Elf is the perfect way to kick off the festive season. Don't miss out!
Auditions will take place in June, rehearsals will commence in September, and the shows are the first two weekends in December!
