At every performance of the Music Hall, Master of Ceremonies Danny Benjamin lit his candle, introduced the band and, from the moment they struck up the strains of “ Here we are, here we are, here we are again ”, we were off into the world of Old Time Music Hall. The acts varied from cutie-beginner-on-stage through the Andrews Sisters, Barber Shop quartet, the melodrama, a forty-year-old fairy and, of course, the fantastic medleys - to mention only some of the great acts that we saw. There were some very funny jokes and the inevitable ‘groaners'!! The wenches and blades served some scrumptious snacks and kept the drinks coming. Everyone had a super time until the final emotional chorus of “ But I know we'll meet again some sunny day ”.
Great gargantuan gaggles of gratitude must be given to Danny Benjamin, Julie Geer and all the people on the production and catering teams who were responsible for making the latest GAOS show another triumph!
