If you've ever been 17,
then this is the show for you! Set in the teenager-frequented
Club A-Go-Go on a Saturday nigh, it explores the seemingly
insuperable problems of adolescent sexuality against the
backdrop of England in the 1960s - its mini-skirts, its
leather jackets, its boots, its music. To move the comedy
along, the Heather Brothers have ingeniously pilfered the
melodies of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Dave Clark
Five, the Animals, the Kinks, the Seekers, Billy J. Kramer
and the Dakotas, and many others. Not forgetting the immortal
Cliff ... still rocking on. A show full of such clever,
self-mocking charm, superb comic pastiche and sharp off-the-cuff
humour that it's difficult to come away feeling anything
but thoroughly entertained.
